But the gaming industry is full of hawk-eyed enthusiasts and journalists, who hardly miss a beat. One analyst from an investment firm may just have found out when GTA 6 will release.

Consider this, when a game as big as GTA is about to launch, you’d expect the publishing company to invest a healthy sum in marketing, right?

GTA 6 Release year window revealed?

Take-Two Interactive, the publishing studio behind GTA, recently filed a 10-K SEC. The filing, shows that the company expects to spend a whopping $89 million on marketing between the period of April 1, 2023, and March 32, 2024. This is more than double the marketing budget of any other year in the five-year period.

So what exactly do Take-Two expect to incur such high marketing expenses? The launch of GTA 6 according to analyst Jeff Cohen from the investment firm Stephens. You can take a look at the research report by Cohen right here.

What helps convince us of this analysis is one particular line from the research brief.

“We are not sure how much we should be reading into this shift, but we would note that this disclosure accurately predicted the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 prior to that game’s announcement.”

So, if the analysis proves to be correct, we have another 3 to 4 years of a wait ahead of us until the next GTA entry. While that may seem like a long time, time flies. We can, hopefully, expect a teaser sometime in the following 12-18 months. All this is, of course, considering there are no delays in development.

Until then, let’s enjoy GTA Online the developers are still regularly giving us new content after all.
